My name is Ellie Wilson and I am from New Hampshire. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and I am currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Social Work focusing on Community Practice for Social Change from Case Western Reserve University. I am a sexual assault and rape survivor and spent my junior year of college feeling very voiceless and powerless after the assault. I believe that we all are responsible for ending the sexual assault and rape culture that thrives on college campuses and creating awareness, prevention, and accountability is necessary. Survivors are often disempowered and stigmatized by societal and ingrained cultural beliefs regarding sexual violence. I want to empower sexual violence survivors to utilize their voices and stories as a tool of change.
